Physical Therapist with Expertise in Pelvic Floor

Julie Bottarini MPT, CLT, takes pride in treating her clients as people rather than simply a condition. Throughout her career she has worked to continuously expand her knowledge and improve her capabilities for providing the unique treatment options her clients need. In 1991, Julie graduated from the University of the Pacific with a BA in Sports Medicine, and in 1993, received her Master of Physical Therapy from Chapman University. Over the next several years, she pursued opportunities to enhance her skills in areas such as Acute Care, Acute Neurological Rehab, Hippotherapy, Orthopedics, and Neurological Rehabilitation.

Over a decade ago, Julie began to study and develop a passion for Lymphology and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. She soon became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and used her knowledge to increase the availability of Lymphedema and Women’s Health programs throughout the San Francisco Peninsula area. She assisted in the development of the Lymphedema Program at Mills Health Center in San Mateo in 2000, and developed Women’s Health Programs for other physical therapy clinics on the peninsula.

In 2008, Julie opened her private practice to build a more personal connection with her clients. Her passion for improving quality of life through the study and practice of Lymphology, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Women’s Health, and Men’s Health continue to drive her practice today. Recently, as a mother of twins, she has expanded her practice to also focus on improving the quality of life for both children affected by pelvic floor dysfunction and women requiring pre and postpartum treatment.

Julie continues to be an active member of national and international associations focused on physical therapy, lymphedema, pelvic pain, and women’s health. Though her passion is strong, her service is comforting, and each day she works to improve the quality of life for her clients.
