Our Screening Services & Women’s Preventive Health Care

Comprehensive Blood Panel

At your comprehensive intake visit, Dr. Kassis will order a deeper lab panel that goes beyond what’s typically checked. We check nutrient levels, insulin resistance, markers that assess cardiovascular risk, and more, so we can spot and address issues early.

Why it matters: Early insight into metabolic, nutritional, and cardiovascular markers helps identify imbalances before they cause symptoms or long-term health issues.

Cancer Screenings (Pap, HPV, and Genetic Testing)

Regular Pap Smears and HPV testing for early detection of cervical cancer. Genetic risk assessments are also available and encouraged for women with a family history of cancer, using the latest evidence-based science.

Why it matters: Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers with regular screening. With early detection of cervical changes, many women receive treatment before cancer develops. When cervical cancer is detected, early treatment results in much better outcomes. Detecting genetic risks enables timely prevention.

Mammograms

Recommended annually or every other year for women over 40, especially those with a family history of breast cancer. We refer you to trusted local imaging partners for timely, high-quality mammograms and proactively track your screenings over time. Our team will review your results and help you make any health decisions if necessary.

Why it matters: Early detection of breast cancer significantly increases treatment success.

In-Clinic Clinical Breast Exams

Performed during routine gynecology visits to assess for lumps or changes in breast tissue. As one of the most important forms of women’s preventive health care, it can help with early detection of breast changes, which could signal breast cancer.

Why it matters: Adds another layer of early detection between imaging appointments. When detected early, breast cancer is typically much more treatable.

Breast Self-Exam Education

We’ll teach you how to monitor your breast health at home and know when to seek care.

Why it matters: Empowering you with body awareness helps detect changes early. This can help intervene in breast cancer’s earliest stages when it is highly treatable.

Bone Density Testing

Recommended for women approaching or in menopause to assess the risk of osteoporosis. Our clinical team orders DEXA scans for proactive monitoring and works with you on lifestyle and nutrition to maintain healthy bones. Catching bone loss before it progresses greatly improves treatment and prevention measures.

Why it matters: Bone loss accelerates after menopause. Early intervention reduces fracture risk.

Pelvic Exams

Internal and external assessments during routine visits to check for abnormalities, discomfort, dryness, or pelvic organ prolapse. Pelvic floor therapy is also encouraged as part of preventive care to strengthen support muscles and reduce future pelvic issues.

Why it matters: Even after the reproductive years, pelvic health remains essential for overall well-being. In some cases, a physical exam can help detect internal changes and signal that a more thorough examination is needed. This can help with the early detection of some more serious conditions, such as gynecological cancers.
